Jorge Dinis completed his PhD in Molecular Biology from The University of Wisconsin at Madison by studying the molecular mechanisms of influenza zoonosis and emergence/re-emergence in humans. His post-graduate career focused on developing and launching next-generation sequencing tools for early detection of disease-relevant nucleic acids. He then transitioned from industry to academia to manage large collaborative research projects aimed at developing CRISPR-based therapeutics at the Innovative Genomics Institute, UC Berkeley. He has since joined the LGR as the Program Manager providing programmatic strategic support across our diverse scientific portfolio and facilitating a series of multi-organizational collaborations.
