Karl is a Research Associate on the Biology team at the LGR. He earned his Bachelor’s in Chemical Biology, and Master’s in Bioethics at Case Western Reserve University, where he worked in the Lou lab and focused on correcting alternative splicing defects in Cystic Fibrosis. His research interests include synthetic biology, RNA biology, and non-coding regions of the genome. Outside of the lab Karl enjoys cooking, hiking, and playing chess.
