Sailaja Peddada is a Specialist working with the Biology team at the LGR. She will be working to develop iPSC-based complex cell models and implement CRISPR based functional genomic screens to understand disease relevant biology.
Her graduate work was on understanding molecular genetics of Rett syndrome by employing various genomics and epigenomic approaches. During her postdoctoral work at UCSF, she worked on providing new insights into how SOX2 function is regulated by glycosylation in embryonic stem cells and developing various tools using CRISPR genome editing to study X-inactivation.
